The pursuit of excellence and bringing glory to God are two important hallmarks of the athletics program at Penobscot Christian School. Our volunteer, committed Christian coaches aim to teach the fundamentals of a given sport, to encourage the development of teamwork, to challenge athletes to stretch themselves to use their God-given physical and mental abilities, and to model and foster good sportsmanship all within a Christ honoring context. Athletics at PCS are a wonderful supplement to the education of our students as they learn to push their own limits, tackle new challenges, respond to adversity and success in various forms and grow as Christian individuals.

High school & Middle School

Currently, as members of the Mid Maine League we offer boys and girls middle school soccer and boys and girls middle school basketball. We have had boys and girls middle school cross country teams in the past as well as both boys middle school baseball and girls softball. We are looking to rebuild these programs in the near future.

The high school teams compete in the Maine Christian School Sports League. We currently offer coed high school soccer and boys and girls high school basketball. We are also an MPA member school and this means that individual athletes are eligible to participate in sports that we do not offer at their local high school or at John Bapst Memorial. We have had runners, swimmers, hockey and football players compete at other schools.
